By entering our website you agree to abide by the terms and conditions of use thereof.  The placement of an order online for the hire of the So Content Studio, or our Studio Credits indicates your acceptance of these terms and conditions.

1. Booking Terms and Conditions

1.1    General Studio Rules 

  1. Please treat the floor, walls, furniture, props, and all studio items with care and respect.

  2. If you move any props or furniture, return them to their original positions before leaving.

  3. Dispose of all rubbish in the bin and empty any liquids into the sink.

  4. If you notice marks on the floor from dragging furniture or footwear, please stop immediately.

  5. Ensure the door is locked at the end of your session.

1.2     Security Deposit 

  1. Every booking will be charged a £50 security deposit. It is fully refundable after your session, as long as there is no damage, no excess mess, no overrun and the studio is left secure.

  2. Any damage will be deducted from the deposit.

  3. The door must be locked after your session. If you leave the door unlocked, a £10 call-out fee will be deducted. 

  4. If you overrun into the next session, we may transfer the deposit to the next client as compensation for the time used.

  5. If the studio is left excessively dirty, untidy, or if furniture has been significantly moved, a £50 cleaning/reset fee will be charged.

  6. Additional charges may also apply for excess rubbish left behind or from removing branded stickers/posters.

  7. Please note refunds can take up to 7 working days to process and reach your bank account. This will depend on your financial institution. 

1.3    Damage Policy

  1. Any furniture or prop that is found broken, stolen, stained or ripped during the time of your booking, will be charged for repair or full replacement of the item.

  2. Do not mark, draw or paint on the studio walls. If walls are left damaged, you will incur a cost for the repair.

  3. Do not drag furniture across the floor, as it may damage the flooring and the furniture. If the flooring is left damaged, you will incur a cost for the repair.

  4. Please ensure no fake tan, make-up or any other marks/stains are left on the studio furniture, props or structure. If stains are left, will be charged for repair or full replacement of the item.

1.4    General Issues

  1. These Booking Terms and Conditions apply to the hire of the So Content Studio and any ancillary products at the location set out in the So Content Studio’s booking confirmation.

  2. These Booking Terms and Conditions contain important information concerning participation by you and members of your party and, accordingly, you acknowledge and agree that you shall ensure that all members of your party are aware of and accept these Booking Terms and Conditions.

  3. No variation to these Booking Terms and Conditions shall be binding unless agreed in writing by So Content Studio.

  4. Any typographical clerical or other error or omission in any booking confirmation or other documentation issued by So Content Studio (including any electronic documentation) shall be subject to correction without any liability on the part of So Content Studio.

  5. So Content Studio reserves the right to make changes to the studio whether to conform with any applicable safety, other statutory requirements or otherwise.

1.5     Booking Confirmation

  1. No booking shall be deemed to have been accepted unless accepted in writing by So Content Studio (which shall include So Content Studio’s email confirmation of booking).

  2. These Booking Terms and Conditions incorporate So Content Studio’s Privacy Policy, and Risk Acknowledgement and Disclaimer.

  3. You must advise So Content Studio as soon as possible of any mistake in So Content Studio’s booking confirmation.

  4. So Content Studio shall use its reasonable endeavours to ensure that you and your party’s participation commences at the time booked.

1.6   Moving bookings, late arrivals, cancellations, overtime and refunds

  1. You can cancel an existing booking, no later than 72 hours before your booking date. You will receive a full refund.

  2. You can amend your booking free of charge, no later than 72 hours before your booking date.

  3. In the event of a booking being rescheduled or cancelled less than 72 hours before your booking date, you will not be eligible for a refund. A credit note will be issued.

  4. Should So Content Studio feel it’s necessary to cancel your booking, it shall use reasonable endeavours to notify you as soon as possible. You shall be entitled to a full refund in the event of cancellation under this clause, but no other compensation shall be payable.

  5. Payments made by debit or credit card will be refunded to the same card. Payments made by credit note will be refunded by the issuing of a replacement credit note to the same value.

  6. Late arrivals may not be permitted to make up the time beyond their originally booked time slot. No refunds or compensation will be payable in such circumstances.

  7. If you exceed your booking, the extra time will be deducted from your deposit refund.  Any bookings that run over their designated booking slot, by 60 or more minutes, will not be refunded the deposit and will incur an additional charge. 

  8. If you require loading/unloading of equipment or packing/unpacking of personal items, you must do this within your originally booked time slot.

  9. If you overrun into the next session, we may transfer the deposit to the next client as compensation for the time used.

 

1.7     Liabilities

  1. Except as otherwise provided in these Booking Terms and Conditions So Content Studio shall not be responsible for the loss, or damage, of or to any property or to any person arising from the booking of, or participation in hiring and using of the studio.

  2. Street parking is available, and any vehicles are left at the owners’ risk and subject to any conditions and the payment of any fees as may be required by the provider of such facilities at the site location.

  3. Except as otherwise provided in these Booking Terms and Conditions any liability of So Content Studio shall be limited to the refund of any charges paid to So Content Studio.

  4. Nothing contained in these Booking Terms and Conditions is intended to, nor shall, limit the liability of So Content Studio in respect of personal injury caused by the negligence of So Content Studio.

 

1.8      Miscellaneous

  1. If any of these terms are determined to be illegal, invalid or otherwise unenforceable, it shall be severed and deleted from these terms and the remaining terms shall survive, remain in full force and continue to be binding and enforceable.

  2. Nothing above shall confer on any third party any benefit or the right to enforce any of these Booking Terms and Conditions.

  3. These Booking Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the country in which the studio is located.

1.9 Credit Notes

  1. Credit notes are valid for 60 days. The credit note expiration date will be stated on the email and can’t be used after that date.

  2. Credit notes can’t be replaced if lost, stolen or destroyed.

  3. Credit notes can’t be refunded or exchanged for cash or other denominated credit notes.

  4. Credit notes are set to a specific amount of hours and no change will be given.

  5. Credit notes can’t be sold to any third parties without our consent. If we do give our consent, then such consent may be subject to any conditions which we impose.  In any event you may not sell the credit notes through the internet without our express written consent, which you must obtain before making any such sale.  We reserve the right at all times to refuse to permit any sale of credit notes by you to a third party.
